Summary of the Conference IRFC 2008

International Railway Freight Conference (www.irfc.eu), organized by CD Cargo and JERID, was held in Congress Centre Hotel Olšanka in Prague 5th – 7th March 2008.  

The Conference program was divided to three thematic blocks:
  1. SESSION 1: European Legislation and Rail Freight Transportation Support;
  2. SESSION 2: Railway Consignments and Freight Wagon Monitoring Projects;
  3. SESSION 3: Rail Freight East – West – East; Successfully Implemented or Prepared Rail and Combined Transport Projects.
The visit of the Logistic Centre in LOVOSICE took place on the 3rd day of Conference.

Lectures about mentioned themes were presented by 28 lecturers from 14 countries for 110 participants from 17 countries from all over the world. The farthermost participants were from ALL Company - Brazil.

The Conference met with a great success on the part of lecturers as well as participants. All of them appreciated high expertness of presentations in the particular sessions and possibility to meet with top managers from line of business of railway freight transportation.
